Show your love

Take a few moments thinking about how you can show your love for others by serving them. Jot down a couple of ideas and pick one to act on this week. Here are a couple of ideas:
  • Grant the right of way to someone on your commute this week.
  • Bring a fancy latte for a co-worker or friend as a surprise.
  • Buy a book for the Avenue D book drive.
  • Mow your neighbor’s lawn.
  • Spend some time this week with someone you know who is hurting right now.
  • Buy dinner for the person behind you in the drive-thru line. Give a note to the cashier for the person that says, “You are loved” or something similar.
  • Choose not to go out to eat or buy a coffee this week and give the money to a charity.
  • Meet the financial or physical need of a friend.

Life is measured in love!

Listen to someone. Simply listen, which, by itself is a gift. It allows someone to know they have been heard. They are important, they have been respected. In the silence they can hear themselves speak. It also may be a gift of silence to yourself, if this is a new paradigm.
